Prof. Shivakumar Mooteri Subraya, B.E, M.Tech(ECE), Ph.D
Prof.Shivakumar MS graduated in Engineering from NITK, Surathkal,before pursuing M.Tech. in ECE from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in the year 1979. He holds a PhD from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Professor Shivakumar has more than 4 decades of academic experience of teaching and leading institutions. He was professor and Head of the Dept. of CSE at PES College of Engg, Mandya and later became principal and Chief Executive Officer of NIE, Mysore. He has also held the position of Registrar of Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. After his retirement from government services in 2010, he worked as Principal of Atria Institute of Technology, Bangalore, and later Visiting Professor of CSE at VVCE, Mysore. He held the position of Vice Chancellor, CMR University, Bangalore, June 2017 to July 2020. His areas of interest are Computers and Computing, Parallel Computing, Nano Computers, Communication Technologies, Higher Education System, Indian Knowledge System, Curriculum design with CBCS, OBE/LOCF, and Assessment.
